Cultivate health. Pick a health habit that you want to develop (e.g., staying hydrated, flossing, etc.), and write out your goal. Be specific. For example, you would specify “drink 4 glasses of water” – rather than “drink more water.” Brainstorm ways to make it easy to engage in that activity, such as linking it to an existing activity you do (e.g., floss while watching TV, then put a container of floss near your seat). Create a way to track the activity (e.g., marking the days you reach your goal on the calendar or making a checklist). Now, implement the plan you just made. Revise the plan if aspects aren’t working or you find ways to make it more effective.
