Building Motivation Part 2:
Directing Your Behavior
Welcome to the final module of Mind Over Matter: Mastering the Graduate Student Mindset. This module continues delving into ways to build motivation by looking at the second part of the definition of motivation, directing your behavior.
Do you ever wonder why some people are motivated under certain circumstances, and others aren’t? That’s because everyone has a motivational style and working with your style gives you more control over your productivity. It allows you to direct your behavior towards goals that will work with your motivational style to get you where you want to be.
Working with your style is a lot more effective in directing behavior than working against it. That’s why figuring out your style and how to work with it is imperative. So if you’re ready to find out, jump right into this last module.
